General instructions
In high-vibration applications (such as drones) it is required to secure all screw connections using an appropriate thread-locker. Failure to do so might result in loss of flight and/or property damage or personal injury. Even non-structural screws must be secured, as loose screws can cause short-circuits or mechanically damage board components.

Install steps
- Install the provided spacer on the Open.OC2 board. They will be used to hold the Jetson module.
- Mount the Jetson Nano module on the Open.OC board using the provided spacers.
- Carefully insert the edge connector into the SODIMM-slot and gently push down until the locking mechanism engages.
- Secure the module on the spacers using the provided M2.5 screws.
- Place the Cube on the board in the designated area taking care to use the correct orientation and gently push down until a faint click can be felt.
- The Cube should be flush on the board.
- Secure the Cube using the provided 4 screws.
- Optional: Install mini PCIe hardware
- Insert the mini PCIe module into the connector.
- Then, gently push down the module and secure using 2x M2.5 screws.
- Optional: Connect Ethernet
- Using the provided cable and adapter board connect your board to your local LAN
- Required for firmware flashing: Install USB
- Use the provided micro-USB adapter cable and a standard USB-A - micro-USB cable to connect the Open.OC2 board to a PC.
- Connect power
- Use the provided power connectors to connect the Open.OC2 board to a power source.
- Note the voltage rating (9 V - 26 V).
- During operation (e.g. flight), it is recommended to connect both power connectors to an independent power source. However, the board will run fine on a single power source, useful for example for initial setup etc.
The board is now ready to be flashed.
Mechanical integration
- The board should be held by 6 different screws in order to limit vibrations (two in the center, two on both sides).
- The eight legs at each corner of the board can be cut. However, user must follow the previous requirement to limit vibrations. Four extra mounting holes are available in the center part to replace the legs when cut.
- A good airflow is required for the Jetson module heatsink.
