General instructions
In high-vibration applications (such as drones) it is required to secure all screw connections using an appropriate thread-locker. Failure to do so might result in loss of flight and/or property damage or personal injury.
Included items
The Open.OC2 board comes packaged with the following items:
| Qty | Item | Picture |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Open.OC2 carrier board | |
| 1 | Cube Orange FMU | |
| 1 | NVIDIA Jetson Nano production module | |
| 2 | M2.5 x XXXmm PCB spacer | |
| 2 | M2.5 x XXXmm screws | |
| 4 | ESC cable: JST-GH(4) <==> 2xDupont(3) | |
| 1 | Ethernet cable: JST-GH(8) <==> JST-GH(8) | |
| 1 | Ethernet adapater board: JST-GH(8) <==> RJ-45 | |
| 1 | USB adapter cable: JST-GH(4) <==> micro-USB(F) | |
| 1 | RC cable: JST-GH(3) <==> Dupoint(3) | |
| 1 | VESC cable: JST-GH(3) <==> Wires | |
| 2 | Power cable: JST-XH(2) <==> Wires |
Step 2: Install Jetson Nano module
- Install the provided spacer posts on the Open.OC board.
- Mount the Jetson Nano module on the Open.OC board. Carefully insert the edge connector into the SODIMM-slot and gently push down until the locking mechanism engages.
- Secure the module using the provided M2.5 screws
Step 3: Install the Pixhawk Cube
- Place the Cube on the board in the designated area taking care to use the correct orientation and gently push down until a faint click can be felt. The Cube should be flush on the board.
- Secure the Cube using the provided 4 screws.
Step 4 (optional): Install mini PCIExpress hardware
- Insert the mini-PCIE module into the connector.
- Gently push down the module and secure using 2x M2.5 screws.
Step 5: Connect ethernet
- Using the provided JST GH8 -- RJ45 adapter cable connect your board to your local LAN
Alternatively: Provide WPA credentials
- Insert a FAT32 formatted SD-card containing a file
wpa.txtwith your SSID and wifi password to connect the board to your local WLAN.
Step 7: Connect power
- Voltage min/max?
The board is now ready to be installed in your drone.
