The Open.OC2 board is designed with onboard video processing in mind, and therefore has an extensive set of camera I/O connectors. On this page, we discuss camera I/O in detail. For the pinouts of the camera ports refer to Pinouts.
CSI-0, CSI-2
These connectors follow a standard pinout making them compatible with (for example) Raspberry Pi camera boards. The pitch of the connectors is however different from the one used for Raspberry Pi cameras, a specific flex PCB is required.
CSI-4
This is an extended video interface through a micro-coax connector. Such cables are very suitable for use to connect to moving parts on a gimbal.
The connector carries the following signals:
- 1x 4-lane CSI-2
- 1x SPI
- 1x USB2.0
- 2x I2C
- 5V Power
- 3.3V Power
Take-Air can supply a gimbal board with the following features:
- On-board Accelerometer/gyroscope XXXX
- FPC connector compatible with Raspberry Pi camera module
- USB connector for secondary camera (for example: thermal)
GIM(bal)
A seperate JST-GH(4) port containing an i2c connection that can be used to connect to an IMU on the CSI-4 port.
This port can for example be used in combination with the CSI-0 and CSI-2 port on a Waveshare IMX219 stereo camera.
